There's no limit imposed on our designers. We encourage materials that add texture, character and variation.
Unlacquered brass arrives bright and warm, and changes slowly into something richer and more complex. The handle you grip every morning darkens before the hinge you rarely touch — the kitchen tells the story of how it's used. We work with brass brushed and waxed, unlacquered, and blackened, each with its own character.
We work with many different timbers, and occasionally with finishes at the furthest edge of what's possible in a kitchen. Shou Sugi Ban — the ancient Japanese technique of preserving timber by charring it — produces a surface unlike anything else. The wood is burnt, cooled, brushed and sealed, for a deep, textured finish with a rich sheen that shifts in different light.

Choosing the right colour is one of the most considered decisions in the whole design process.
Most clients arrive with a colour already in mind. What changes is understanding how it will behave in this specific room — the direction it faces, the light it gets, the materials around it. Undertones only reveal themselves in the actual space, so your designer looks before recommending.
Any shade, we'll do it. Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Mylands are our standards, but a bespoke colour is just as easy.

The surface that changes everything
A worktop isn't a finishing decision — it's a design decision, affecting the colour, character, weight and feel of the whole kitchen. We treat it with the same seriousness as the joinery and appliances. We work with the best stone fabricators in London, chosen for their cutting, finishing and knowledge of the stone they work with. For natural stone, we visit the stone yards with our clients to see individual slabs and understand what a specific piece will do in a specific kitchen.
